The Gaia School

Overview: The Gaia School is a language, culture and adventure program for high school students. We offer customized trips for school groups at any time during the year (i.e. spring break) as well as fixed-date summer sessions in which school groups and independent students can attend. In addition, we have a program for teachers and offer customized trips for middle school groups.

Located in Chile, the aim of our program is to introduce students to a wide variety of cultural experiences while developing Spanish language skills. Whether you are visiting sea lions and penguins, skiing fluffy white powder, visiting national monuments or exploring ancient ruins, you will be learning essential skills that will last a lifetime. Tandem Santiago

Overview: The school was founded in 1992 as Escuela de idiomas Violeta Parra, and has been a member of TANDEM-International -a network of quality schools- adapting the Name Tandem Santiago since 1996.

We offer Spanish language courses at the school, family home stays and accommodation in boarding houses, hotels or apartments, assuring individual service in a friendly atmosphere.

Our Spanish language school is situated in a beautiful old mansion, built in the beginning of the 20th century, in Providencia -the modern Santiago- near popular parks, and little restaurants, just a few minutes from Underground station Salvador at the entrance of the famous "Barrio Bellavista". Since 1985 a profusion of restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, and small theaters have sprung up here. The neighbourhood is a magnet for students, artists and craftsmen.

Instituto Chileno de la Lengua

Overview: ICHIL offers an accelerated learning program and environment that allows the individual student to greatly advance their ability to communicate in Spanish in a very short time. The program is based on proven techniques that encourage the student to begin using Spanish immediately and advances their proficiency rapidly. ICHIL provides a book designed specifically for this program and your level of Spanish. Upon completion of course, students receive a certificate stating number of hours studied and mark received.

Escuela Fronteras

Overview: Our school is a beautiful colonial house dating from 1938. It is located in an area of Santiago called Providencia, which is near downtown but still retains a suburban touch. The area has been designated architectural heritage site by the Chilean government.

We are conveniently located a block from the Chilean Chamber of Tourism, many restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, stores, two metro stations, bus routes and parks. It will only take you 10-20 minutes to get to the center of the city and you can find everything you need within a couple of blocks.

Our school has 7 classrooms, media center and library, lounge, two bathrooms, kitchen, patio with grill for typical chilean barbeques and administration offices. It is open from 8 am to 9 pm during the week and from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.
